The line has done quite a bit of shifting over the last week. At first, Henderson was at +120. It then moved to +130. Today it shifted back and beyond it’s original spot to -115. People are betting on Henderson. If you plan on getting in, do it while the line still has some value to it. For all you Silva fans, his line is a bit more attractive now at -145. Either way, we all win! This is gonna be one hell of a fight! Good luck, and have a great UFC 82 weekend!
Bas Rutten really picked that Bob Sapp Vs. Jan Nortje fight! What an underdog pick that was! After Nortje hit Sapp in the face, I could have swore I heard him screaming his lines from his part in The Longest Yard as he ran back to his corner crying… “I broke’ded my nose!”

Is it hype or legal angling that is keeping the rumor alive? Are we really going to see Randy Couture and Fedor Emelianenko, two esteemed heroes of MMA, go at it? According to the LA Times, Billionaire Mark Cuban’s organization “HDNet has sued the parent company of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.” Evidently Mark wants Dana White to give him and the fans an expiration date on Randy’s contract. The lawsuit is intended to free up Couture to that the battle royal of MMA can become a reality.
Besides the expiration date of Randy’s contract, there is another issue, “Dana White says the contract doesn’t just have nine more months on it, it also has two more fights on it.” It’s too bad that we can’t watch the court battle on SpikeTV, because both sides are looking for the KO.
And just how much gas does Couture have in the tank at age 44? After all, he will most likely be 45 before he fights Fedor. I guess that remains to be seen. If Couture can come back looking like he did against Tim Sylvia, the question will be definitively answered.

This should be an entertaining showdown. Great underdog line here for Nortje. Bas Ruten mentioned on MMA Today last week that he thinks Jan “The Giant” Nortje will pull this off. He does not have the most impressive MMA record, but if Sapp runs out of gas, this could be an awesome wager to make! Either way, check out this Bodog event on HDnet tonight! Looks as though HDNet is here to stay. We have to give props to Mark Cuban on this one. In a very short period of time, he could create some serious competition for the UFC. Especially with the way UFC/Zuffa have been running things lately. This could end up creating a similar situation to The UFC as Ted Turner and WCW created for the WWF (now WWE) in the mid to late 90’s.

Has Kimbo fought anybody worthwhile yet? Brock Lesnar debuts and they have him fighting a former UFC champion. Kimbo has fought a nobody, and Tank Abbott. Tank has lost 8 of his last 9 fights. C’mon guys, lets throw someone real at him. It seems that they do not want to ruin his popularity too fast. Eventually they will have to put somebody substantial up against him.
Don’t get me wrong. He is strong, fast, and deadly accurate. Is that going to be enough to take on the top BJJ competition out there?

As expected, we have Dan Henderson underdogged in his UFC 82 title bout with Anderson Silva. If you plan on getting in, do it before this line shifts. Presently it is at +120, and this is a great value. Silva’s popularity and belt coupled with the fact that Henderson is newer to the UFC with 1 loss to Quinton Jackson has aided in creating our underdog pick of the month.

For some reason the UFC 83 main event betting line has hit before the UFC 82 main event. As expected, our UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Serra is heavily underdogged. For those that believe Serra is going to beat GSP 2 times in a row, this is a great bet at +350. For the rest of the sane individuals reading this, I would just watch this one and enjoy the slaughter in Quebec Canada.
